Leave Them Kids Alone

Someone needs to take Our President aside and tell him that most Americans don’t want any politician speaking directly to all their children on tv at their schools. It gives us the creeps.  We want our children to respect our president, not to idolize him. It's different for them to have a heroic view of George Washington because his life was both heroic and historic. Obama is a new president with much of his life ahead of him. There is a reason why people cannot be sainted while they are alive. It isn't good for anyone and well, things can change.

Speaking to the children and giving them  a task will reinforce people’s anger and distrust of this president. He's simply getting too involved in every area of our lives. Americans like more breathing room. Would someone tell him to take a real vacation and let the dust settle a little? If he does attempt to indoctrinate our kids it will reveal something about his presidency that people will not forget. Some people will love it because they like the kind of  cultish hero worship he has already inspired. Most of us recoil at the thought of our children being like the Obama Children singing their hymn about how he is going to change and rearrange the world. We won’t stand for it.
This whirlwind of new Czars, stimulus packages that noone reads and we can't afford, wasting cars and money with cash for clunkers, the health care nightmare and now messing with our kids has oddly enough given me common ground with some of my liberal friends. We don't like what's happening and don't like feeling that there is some kind of agenda driving all this. It is frightening.

These issues present a huge opportunity for the Republicans. If only they had a leader who could stand up and lead with confident humility, solutions that people understand and a positive outlook regarding the past and future of our nation.
